One more week has gone by, and one more trip that I would like to share with you all: the T.R.I.O. Event in Cayman Islands!

This kiteboarding competition was held in Grand Cayman in February. I have very good memories of it, but at the same time it is the more unlucky event (wind wise) that I remember as we couldn't celebrate the competition during the planned dates due to no wind (wind kicked in right the day after the event finished!). We, the racers, came straight from San Andres (Colombia) where we had the South Americans Championships on the previous week.

But anyway, this was not only a Racing event but also a freestyle one, kind of invitational, so I really enjoyed catching up with some old freestylers friends that I didn't see since my time competing in Freestyle in the PKRA like Karolina Winkowska, Alex Pastor, Manuela Jungo or many others that also were there as Amy Stralko, Eric Rienstra, James Boulding and a long etc.

One of the best things of the trip was meeting a very genuine and amazing kiter, Hope Levin (and also the best roomie!) Thanks for the morning coffees!!

Good vibes everywhere and a much more relax admosphere than in any other competition.

Grand Cayman is a very beautiful island with turquoise water and white sand. Not a bad place to live at all!!

No wind activities /  Actividades sin viento

Ya pasó otra semana y aquí os dejo otro viaje que me gustaría compartir con todos vosotr@s: el evento "T.R.I.O."  en las Islas Caimán! 

Esta competición de kitesurf se celebró en Gran Caimán en febrero. Tengo muy buenos recuerdos de ella, pero al mismo tiempo, es el evento con más mala suerte (viento sabio) que recuerdo, porque no pudimos celebrar la competición durante las fechas previstas debido a la ausencia de viento (el viento entró justo el día después que terminara el evento!). Nosotros, los Racers, vinimos directamente de San Andrés (Colombia) donde se había celebrado el Campeonato de Sudamérica la semana anterior.

No fue sólo un evento de racing, sino también de Freestyle, tipo invitacional, así que pude reencontrarme con algunos viejos amigos freestylers  que no veía desde mi tiempo compitiendo en Freestyle en la PKRA,  entre ellos estaba  Karolina Winkowska, Alex Pastor, Manuela Jungo o muchos otros amiga@s que también estaban allí como Amy Stralko, Eric Rienstra, James Boulding y un largo etc.

Una de las mejores cosas del viaje fue conocer a una kiter muy especial y con un gran futuro en el deporte, Hope Levin (y también la mejor compañera de habitación que he tenido nunca!) Gracias por los cafés cada mañana !! 

Buenas vibraciones en todas partes y una admosfera mucho más relajan que en las otras competiciones. 

Gran Caimán es una isla muy hermosa con agua turquesa y arena blanca. No es para nada un mal lugar para vivir!!
