Stoked with 3rd place in PKRA Germany!!

Christine Bonniger, Katja Roose and me

I'm happy about my result on the PKRA Germany, probably the last Race tour stop ever, but I think I am happier that is over!! OMG, this is one of the longest event and with harder conditions of the whole tour (rain, cold, wind, no wind...).. Ten days it is for sure too much, specially this year that we, there racers, had so many days of "stand by" on the beach and finally not racing at all, mainly because they introduced this "Air style" world title, which incomprehensible had priority over Freestyle and over Racing as well...anyways.

All top 3 of all disciplines in the podium

The event started with most racers stressed because the forecast for the week showed no wind most of the days, only a couple of days with acceptable wind, which everybody assumed they will run freestyle and air style. Well, so on day two, the forecast completely changed and it was windy as hell!! so what happen with the 3 kites rule limit?? that we were all fucked!! (well, at least I registered a 9m, but other riders registered 12-13m as smallest!!) so finally they allowed to register a storm kite, in case we had to race with 25knots or more.

I was pretty regular with 3rd place in most racers. On the guys side was tightest, Riccardo Leccese (Ozone), Bryan Lake (US), Johnny Heineken (Ozone) were fighting for top 3. Adam Koch (Ozone) had an unlucky start of competition but he was killing it on the last day, with two bullets.
But the hardest part was to pack and try to get to the train station. No one from the organisating gave the riders a ride, so imagine caring 60kg around the beach. Thanks to the Flysurfer guys for that ride to the train station, you saved us!!!!
Now time to chill a little bit, rest and recover from all the effort of so many competitions in a row. And next week time to start training again.
Stay tuned!!

Up to 50 knots!!

Estad atentos!!
