3rd in PKRA Mexico!!

I’m just on the plane on my way back to Barcelona after this amazing week here in Riviera Maya . I am super stoked with my 3rd place, it is the best result so far and a pretty good start of the 2011 season.   Caroline Adrien and Melissa Gil were first and second respectively. In three days we completed a total of 12 races with pretty light conditions. Only in one race I used the Havoc 12m, in all the others I used the LF 16m, I was so glad to have it with me!

Me and Melissa we both were so unfortunately to hit the reef in one of the races, she managed a replace fin and I kind of manage to temporaly fix it with the help of the US boys Andrew and Heineken (1st in Men Racing). Thanks guys!!

I really had a great time in this event and the conditions were good enough to complete the Freestyele event too. Alvaro Onieva and Cesar Portas, also made a great job in their discipline, It was a pitty they meet in semi-finals instead of in the final.

I had a couple of interviews for Mexican and Spanish Magazines; I’ll post them in my blog as soon as they send them to me.

Ah, next competition PKRA Dakhla (Morocco) in a couple of days!! I get to Barcelona Airport on Monday morning and my flight to Dakhla is the same Monday at 7pm, crazy, eh?!!

At the bottom I post a picture Kite-around use to make a poster made with a Photo of me, stoked for that to. They are gonna support me in this next event in Dakhla. I’ll try to do my best!!

Team POP que vinieron a darme soporte!

Estoy en el avión de vuelta a Barcelona  después de esta increíble semana aquí en la Riviera Maya. Estoy super contenta por mi 3er puesto conseguido, es mi mejor resultado hasta el momento y es un muy buen inicio de temporada 2011. Caroline Adrien y Melissa Gil , fueron primera y segunda respectivamente. En tres días completamos un total de 12 regatas con descarte de los 2 peores resultados. El viento estuvo bastante flojo por lo que competí con mi Havoc 16m en todas las carreras menos en un par que salí con la 12 metros.

Melissa y yo tuvimos la mala suerte de chocar contra el arrecife de coral y dañar la tabla. Ella consiguió una aleta de repuesto y a mi, los chicos de US, Andrew y Heineken (1er clasificad en hombres) me ayudaron a hacer una reparación de emergencia para poder competir al día siguiente. Gracias chicos!

Me lo he pasado muy bien en este evento y las condiciones fueron buenas también para completar el evento de Freestyle. Alvaro Onieva y Cesar Portas, tuvieron una gran actuación en su modalidad terminando primero y tercero respectivamente. Tuvieron la mala suerte de entrentarse en semifinales en lugar de en la final.

Me hicieron un par de entrevistas para revistas mejicanas y también una española, las colgaré en mi blog en cuanto salgan publicadas.

No puedo terminar este post sin mandar un millón de gracias a Grand Palladium Rivera Maya y a la gente de People of Palladium, y especialmente, a Josiño, Francesc y Ricardo, sin ellos no hubiera sido posible my participación en este evento. Gracias por haberme hecho sentir como parte de vuestra família!

Ah, por cierto, la próxima competición es en un par de días en Dakhla. Llego el lunes por la mañana a Barcelona y el mismo día a las 19:00 tengo el avión a Marruecos. De locos, verdad?!!
