Today has been the first day of competition. We started with the skippers meeting Centro Spinosa. There was not enough wind so they postponed the first heat until 1 o'clock. 11m 13m kites were used in the first heats, but soon the wind picked up and we were all super overpowered.
The 7m Edge was my kite during the 3 other racers, also overpowered even using a twin tip!! It was totally crazy, guys were riding 7m too; a few riders broke lines and kites today, I was super lucky I didn't even if I was tangled in the second one. I should definitely have a smaller kite for situations like today or as my mum says "eat more!!" haha.

I'm third at the moment, more races to come tomorrow. One thing I know now (If I had any doubt before) is that Slalom is definitely not my favorite and so is the feeling of most of the riders, too risky and too out of control. I'll focus on just Racing from now on!

Hoy a sido el primer día de competición. Hemos empezado la mañana con la reunión de patrones en el Centro Spinosa. No había suficiente viento por lo que se ha pospuesto la primera salida hasta la 1. 11m y 13m eran las cometas que utilizamos en la primera manga, pero el viento subió y enseguida íbamos todos muy pasados.

La 7m Edge ha sido mi cometa para el resto del dia, también pasada incluso con twin tip. Ha sido una locura, los chicos iban también con 7m; mas de uno y de dos han roto lineas y cometa, he tenido mucha suerte que no me ha pasado a mi, ya que también me han enganchado en la segunda manga. Definitivamente necesito una cometa más pequeña para días como los de hoy o, como dice mi madre "comer más y engordar algún quilito!!" jeje

Estoy tercera actualmente, mas mangas mañana. Una cosa que tengo clara (si es que me quedaba alguna duda) es que el Slalom no me gusta y creo que la mayoría de riders comparten, demasiado arriesgado y fuera de contro. De ahora en adelante solo Race!!

Mañana os informo de como ha terminado la competi.
